please help
ok when i got back from vacation... when i opened OOTP 6 and its games, I got ,0/0/00 date when i uploaded the new league file and kept on getting Runtime error everytime i did something. I cleared the cache and still when i downloaded it again and opened OOTP, there was a blank screen when i clicked continue league and said "Run Time Error... C:/Program files/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP6.exe". My antivirus is off and when i decided to open other leagues, it also said "Run Time Error". I use OOTP 6 obviously and everytime i download and extract to my OOTP 6 folder, i have to delete my old folder (f.Montaya knows this) since I can't export my FTP correctly if I don't (FYI). Please help...

Sorry to disappoint you my friend, but I have no help for you. I just wanted to let you know that I feel your pain and frustration. I have been getting the "runtime errors" for a while myself.
It's really upsetting at times. You loose everything that occured since the last time the sim was saved. It happened to me yesterday during the world series. The games themselves counted, but I lost all of the stats for the players. Once I had a player miss the triple crown by one batting avg. point. Earlier that year I lost one of his games where he had gone four for four! I keep getting the "it's your computer not the game" response. It may be, I just wish someone would tell me what to fix. "Rebuilding" doesn't stop it from happening, it just prolongs it for another time. My best to you my friend. Sorry that I am no help. |
