Hello all,
Our league, Gone Gold OOTP, seems to have a problem with the win-loss totals being used to determine league standings. The totals do not match the number of games played to date. Also, the teams will end up with different total game counts! League - Career *Hosted on the OOTP4 League server Computer - different ones (we use the league file to go from one to the other) Schedule - created by OOTP4 automatically Crashes - Yes, during a simulation period about mid-way through the sim-year Example - Houston has a 95-64 record with 6 games left, for a total of 165 games instead of 162. They seem to have more loses in their total than they should. I assume that this situation was caused by the crash during one sim period. I also assume that it is impossible at this point to go back and fix all the individual stats or even the pitchers records. Most of those are minor and don't really affect things in the long run. However, what we do want to fix is the totals being used to determine position within the divisions and in the wild card races. Can we force the game to re-calculate the won-loss record from the schedule to date? If we can do this, I think we can live with the rest of it. The races in two divisions are too tight to live with any discrepency in the totals. Thanks in advance for your help, Darrel Raines, GGOOTP Houston Astros |

Really sorry to hear about your situation. I have something that you can try but not certain that you can do this. Download Pierre's editor from here, then make a backup copy of the league file. Open the original league file with the editor and see if there is a spot where you can edit team records. I don't know if there is or not but can't hurt to look.

Steve,
The editor does have the ability to edit the won-loss record. Evidently these values are kept on a running basis and are not determined by analyizing the schedule every time. This makes sense from a programming standpoint. Now we know the ability exists to edit the values. Is there an easy way to extract the schedule results from the OOTP program? Will it export the schedule to a CSV file? I can check this out later, but I wanted to post the fact that the editor will do what I wanted. So, while I was at it, I thought I would ask that question as well. ![]() Thanks for the help, Darrel Raines |
