E license

I have been playing OOTP and FOF on this computer for quite a while with no problems. All of a sudden every time I try to run either, a box comes up that says "runservice.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" I looked in my control panel and the elicense folder is totally empty. I tried to re download both games and install a new license but I cannot even get the purchase license box to come up before the "runservice.exe problem" window comes up. Is this a file that I will have to re load windows xp to get back on my system or is it a file that should be coming when I dl the game. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Its a 1.48Ghz athlon with 256MB of Ram running windows xp.

Check what profile you are running. I believe the Eliscence only works for one profile under XP.

(This may or may not be correct... I know people who were experiencing Eliscence errors before under XP, typically traced to the error to trying to run the game from the "incorrect" profile.

Not sure about XP but I had a problem recently that sounds very similar and I had to end up calling the eLicense folks but they got it fixed in no time.

I sent them, an email and they sent me back a diagnostic tool which has seemed to fix the problem, at least on OOTP4, my FOF says Im out of licenses. I asked them if I could have one more since I lost the others. Im glad its fixed just bummed that I lost my career league that I was well into. Thanks for the help.
