Need some help with the Lahman database.

I downloaded the Lahman database and extracted all the files to D:\stats (D: is my hard drive), yet whenever I attempt to create a historical league I get a message which says that the "database cannot be opened." I click "OK" and the teams are all there situated in the appropriate leagues (I'm trying to start in 1901), and there are coaches in the coaches pool, yet no players on any rosters nor in the free agent pool.

It is driving me insane.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Are you using the csv version of the database?

i sure was. found an earlier post from someone with a similar problem and i downloaded the appropriate database. it's now working fine.
