Simulating In OOTP5

When I try to simulate some games, OOTP5 shuts off. What should I do?

Also, it seems that everything I click on is shutting it down now.

Does it show an error? If so what error is it showing?

It doesnt say why it shuts off. It just says there was an error

Check all the lineups and pitcing rotations to make sure that no player is listed twice, injured starters starting or...in fact, run the A.I. on all the teams except your team. Sometimes the current version crashes when something is not right with the lineups and pitching rotations.

Does it simulate any games that day before this happens? Chances are it is a player listed twice in the lineups or something along those lines.

You have to have a copy of the database on your PC. Then the path will be wherever you put it on your harddrive.

The database is in my documents folder however when I type in the path name the program cant find it.

Make sure you have the COMMA DELIMITED version and not the access one.

I will also add that the path is case sensitive.

Okay, I downloaded the comma-delimeted version, and saved it on my desktop. When I typed in the path, it said it couldnt find it. What do I need to do?

Also, can you create players in OOTP5, and if so, how.

DON'T save it on the desktop, save it on the HD. If you AREN'T playing manager mode and you'll see several areas where it will say "create player".

If you are trying to use the current version of the db THAT is your problem, I don't play the game in that manner so I'm not sure what version you need w/ v5 but the new one WILL NOT WORK. Older version's are located on the baseball1.com web site.
