Problem with License.

So, I used to have OOTP 6 on my old computer, we bought a new one but
before getting rid of our old computer, I made sure to unlicense my OOTP
and hold onto the License, so today I decided to get back into the swing
of things, I purchased OOTP 6.5, installed that license and got the
message "OOTP 6 License not found" so I was like, "Yeah, alright let me go
find my old license and we'll get the ball rolling", so I find the license which
I wrote down on a napkin, and type it in, it searches then I get the message

"Unable to get or Install License"

"Retrieval of license failed with code = 501"

"This code or ID was not found on License servers"

"may have enterred incorrect id etc etc"

Sounds like an error in entering the license number, if not then contact http://www.elicense.com

Nope, checked and rechecked - but I have emailed elicense with all the details.

Although it took them awhile, Elicense stepped up and took care of me when this exact same thing happened.

I'm betting the old license you had written on the napkin was actually the license for version 6.5. Whenever you update the old version to 6.5, it changes the original game license to the 6.5 one on the main game menu.

The original license for version 6 can be found in a text file named "reciept" in your OOTP 6 directory...if you still have that around.

If not, I don't know what to do other than email elicense and hope they can help you out...
