DH Injury Substitution Issue

So here is a problem that dates back all the way to the first edition of "Season Ticket Baseball" that still exists. If your DH gets injured running the bases, for example, the AI forces you to put in a pinch runner (and rightly so). The issue arises at the end of the inning when it is time to reconcile your defensive lineup, because the AI designates the replacement player as PH (pinch hitter), it requires one to choose a position for this player, one is unable to choose DH. I have tried everything, including substituting in my pitcher or a replacement pitcher and trying to choose position P, (which it doesn't let you choose either). As a result, the game doesn't crash - it simply allows the player to do nothing at all - you can't go to any other screens and you can't continue playing, the game, as well as any others you haven't saved is lost as you have to close down the program altogether. The game should immediately assign the "DH" position to any player who comes in in relief of the DH, a simple solution that thereby eliminates this extremely frustrating issue.

Thank you for your time, I look forward to hearing about a fix for this issue.
