Catobase - convert and edit DAT files
While using catobase (6.1.4) I was in the process of "import stats." I keep getting an error message saying that.
"there is a problem importing around line 528 in the file \players.csv. The most likely cause is an invalid character the Nickname or Homestate fields." How can I fix this? Where is the file so I can go look at line 528? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

I opened the players file in Wordpad. When I looked at the area around line 528, I saw that Don Mattingly had the nickname "Donnie Baseball" followed by some wierd text and symbols. I deleted the symbols and saved the changes. When I ran the Import command in Catobase it simply stopped and displayed the same message as before. When I reopened the players file in Wordpad, the weird symbols in Don Mattingly's nickname were back. I'm not even sure that Don Mattingly is the problem, but I don't see anything else out of place around his line. Any ideas? Thanks Last edited by nandito88; 06-13-2006 at 08:19 PM. |

Nevermind I figured it out. It Don Mattingly was the culprit but I was in the wrong file. To fix it, I just went into the game, found Don's profile, turned the editor on, and got rid of the weird symbols there.
Thanks for stopping by and helping me in Forum hinterlands, Dan. |
