OOTP6 has runtime error -- will upgrading to 6.5 fix this?

Or will I just have a more expensive version of a game that doesn't work? If it does fix the problem, will 6.5 eventually develop runtime errors as well? Thanks.

I've played various versions of the game for years and have yet to experience a RTE, try checking for virus', defrag, uninstall and reinstall. If that doesn't solve it then it maybe some other issue.

Thanks, but I've tried all of those to no avail. I've got OOTP6 installed on two separate computers, and after not playing on either one for several months, they both developed RTEs and nothing seems to fix it. Very annoying.

Ok, I figure no one knows the answer to my original question. I'm willing to try upgrading anyway, but does anyone know what the chances might be of a refund for my $10 should this not work?
