Runtime Error Fix.

I recently encountered this "abnormal program termination" runtime error, and upon reviewing the technical support forum, I found all the advice to be either extremely unhelpful or crazy, even going so far as to recomment the rebuilding of my computer. (?!)

I was eventually able to fix mine, and if any of you are having the same problem, this may be the solution. If you are running an antivirus or internet security software, shut it off. It is probably limiting access to your registry and causing the runtime error. My guess would be that this is the most common cause of the error amongst ootp users, and yet I haven't heard this simple solution mentioned anywhere.
