OOTP 6.5 on a laptop

I'm trying to run my copy of OOTP 6.5 on my new laptop, and i've run into a problem with screen size. Specifically, when i open the game, the top and bottom of the screen are cut off by my laptop screen. I can't access any of the drop down menus, etc.. i had to kill the process to get out of the game.

has anyone run into this type of problem before, or know how to fix it? my screen resolution is 1280x720 if that is useful.. it's a Dell Latitude D620 laptop.

Any help would be appreciated.

What is your default font size?

It should be set as "Normal" (96 dpi). You can set this by right-clicking on your desktop, left-clicking on "Properties', left-clicking on the "Appearance" tab, and changing the "Font size:" to "Normal".

I'm guessing it's a problem due to your 1280x720 resolution. Maybe try changing it to 1280x1024, since that's probably closer to the native resolution for your display anyway.

1280x1024 in 6.5 work fine on my laptop, As CubsFan said, I'd give that resolution a try.
