v6 must be licensed on your PC inorder for 6.5 to work. They DO NOT have to be installed ON TOP OF each other they can both work as stand alone games.

Does E-License still support these games? I submitted their form on Thursday 9/7 and still haven't heard back about freeing my licenses.

OOTP deleted...
I downloaded a plugin to see if my computer could play a certain game but it ended up wiping out my games folder which included OOTP 6.51a. Well I used System Mechanic Professional to find the deleted files. How happy I was to see that it found my OOTP baseball files. I started it up but it kept freezing. So I unistalled OOTP and downloaded it again but to no avail. It will allow me to play the game from scratch but it won't allow me import or open up my previous league. It starts to import, then loads but stops at the end of the load then freezes. There is a runtime error and I have read your entry about that but it lets me play, just not with my saved league. Is there a way to force it to load or am I basically out of luck? Thanks.
P.S. It won't let me open the league either. |

Re-installing 6.51
Well I tried to import it as an OOTP 5 league even though it's not. I figured I'd give that a shot. It imported all the files, but hung up on the loading. I had moved my OOTP 6.51 from my old computer to my new one (where the accident happened) and it worked fine with no problems. It wasn't until it was deleted by the download that it wouldn't work. I'm guessing now after you said it might be the game files that they are or could be corrupted. If so is there a way to fix them? Or are they doomed to a life in limbo? Will they be able to be imported into a future OOTP game such as OOTP 2007? I'm sorry if I've repeated myself. Thanks in advance.

After moving the league files into the OOTP folder you want to use them in select/highlight all the league files, then right click and choose properties. After doing that make sure that "archive" is selected and the other properties are not. Save and then try to open it.
