Aaaa! .. Help!

Started an online league with a data base from the 1970's. I have edited the amateur draft list to match that of the MLB. However, I now need to change the draft date to June 1st. When I do this, the game will generate new players to be drafted. Can I save the current draft file and paste it back into the league? I don't want to lose the players I edited and the 3 hours it took me to do so.

BACK UP FIRST!!!!!I have never had to try this but one would assume that you could make a copy of the players.dat file set the option to change the next draft, allowing it to create the new players and then just copy the old players.dat over the one that just created the new players.Please let me know if this works.......thanks,
