Editing Player's Service Time

I recently had a little glitch develop in the league I commish and am wondering if there is a way to fix it.

My team's SS was getting close to getting to 6 years of service time, which would then make him eligible for free agency after the season. As he was getting closer and closer, he suffered an injury and was placed on the Disabled List.

Now, during our last sim, he finally accumulated enough days to reach his 6 years. However, the game somehow still thinks he has 5 years and lists it as his service time. Since the game thinks that, he still remains arbitration eligible and will not become a free agent.

The game lists his total service time correctly as 1034 days and 172 days equals one year of service time which works out to 6 years and 2 days. The game lists him as 5 years and 2 days.

I don't know if being on the disabled list had anything to do with the glitch, but that's where he was when his clock got stuck on 5 years.

Now, I had no intention of signing him to a contract extension because what it would take to extend him is a lot more than I'm willing to pay him. I don't want to release him outright at the end of the season because he may hold a grudge and refuse to talk to me in the off-season.

Is there anyway to edit his service time so that it reflects the actual amount of service time or am I just going to have to figure out a creative way to make him a free agent?
