Game Crashes

Bought 6.0 and then the 6.5 expansion. Downloaded the most recent patch but everytime I try to run it, it says it cannot find the installation file. I've got my registration key and all -- and the game starts up fine but crashes whenever my first batter in the first game comes up to the plate. Help?

Barry, your post has ended up in the support forum for the 2006 product. It sounds like you're still using 6.5. I'm going to move this over to another forum, OK?

Thanks!

Steve

More details -- I can sim any game or watch any game as long as it's not the one that my manager would be controlling. If I start a managed game (or try to sim a managed game -- i.e. a game for "my" team) I get a crash. If I try to go to the Manager screen for news or whatever, the game crashes. I'm on 6.5 with the latest patch. I definitely think my crashes are related to the manager side of things. Help???

This is what happens every time I try to sim a game for my team or try to hit swing away to start the game when I'm managing it:

did you try turning sound off... sound is the biggest reason for these types of crashes and the reason it was removed in 2006.

Thanks for replying! I thought I was going to keep getting the silent treatment :-)

I have the sounds completely turned off. I remember that bugaboo from 6.0 so I was sure to try that. It's something else, I'm afraid.

you might try unistalling it and re-installing, (make sure you unregister it first) and see if that helps. you might also check your drivers (vid and direct X) or lowering the game options to see if that would help.
