Play-By Play Problem
I'm having a problem in my new season, whenever I go into play-by-play mode. All the positions of the players are screwed up whenever I play.
What I mean is, usually the defensive team has their nine players spread about the field in a diamond like pattern, like Wells Stewart Mondesi Lopez Bush Hinske Delgado Carpenter Damon Fletcher would be the set-up for a Jays vs. Red Sox game, Red Sox batting. My game sets the players up in the field like J. Damon Fletcher Delgado Bush Lopez Hinske and so forth all the way down to Carpenter. It's not a huge problem, however, it's visually unappealing and it can get confusing to follow, as any baserunners get stacked right below the batter. Can anyone help me out and tell me what exactly I screwed up? Thanks |

That didn't set up visually like I'd have liked, however, I think you know what I mean by setting up defensively, as the fielding teams assumes positions on the diamond where they'd be fielding.
What my game does, is it puts Damon in the top left corner, and it puts the catcher in the top right corner, then all the other defensive players are just listed below the catcher. Hopefully, that may be a bit clearer. |

This has to do with the fact that somewhere along the line it appears that you are using some sort of third party graphics add-on or something to that effect. We do not support these, I would advise that you contact the maker of the add-on.

I don't remember using any 3rd-party graphics add-on or anything like that.
I had downloaded a roster pack prior to starting this season, but I know many people downloaded the pack, and I seem to be the only one with this problem, so I don't think that caused it. I tried to fix the problem by downloading a park file that had the 30 modern ballparks, but that didn't really change anything except the background, and also, that was downloaded after the file from BigCityBaseball. I can't think of anything I downloaded related to OOTP that would have caused this. |

Its the roster pack that messed your fielders up.
What happened is the creator of the roster pack uses one of the third party stadium packs. As a result when he zipped park.dat and parkconfig.dat into the league folder that you downloaded, you got his player alignment/setup from the other stadium pack. To correct you'll need to fix the problem for one team, then click the "assign settings for all stadiums" button. (or if you have another league setup with the same teams and same stadiums you can simply copy the park.dat and parkconfig.dat files over into the league file. Hope this helps. |
