Relicensing Question
I HAD TO INSTALL A NEW HARD DRIVE.
DO I NEED TO RELICENSE THE GAME? I BACKED UP ON CD/RW AND ALSO INSTALLED ANOTHER HARD DRIVE BEFORE THE ORIGINAL HARD DRIVE WAS REPLACED. I COPIED ALL GAME FILES TO THE BACK UP DRIVE SO I WOULDN'T LOSE THEM. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE TO GET THE GAME BACK ON MY MAIN DRIVE? DO I JUST COPY AND PASTE ALL THE GAME FILES FROM ONE DRIVE TO THE OTHER? SINCE INSTALLING THE NEW DRIVE, THE SMALLEST PRINT ON THE MESSAGE BOARD IS DIFFICULT TO READ. IT SEEMS TO BE MISSING DOTS CAUSING THE LETTERS TO BE INCOMPLETE. ANY IDEA WHAT THE PROBLEM IS? DELL SUPPORT SPENT 4 HOURS REINSTALLING THE DRIVES. THE MONITOR DRIVE WAS ESPECIALLY DIFFICULT FOR THEM TO INSTALL. ALL OTHER SCRIPT ON THE MESSAGE BOARD IS FINE...JUST THE SMALLEST SCRIPT IS AFFECTED. I'M A NEWBIE, SO KEEP IT SIMPLE FOR ME. THANKS. |

You will likely need to reliscence the game. Just type the order ID from your receipt.txt file when you get the prompt and you'll reliscence it.
If you forgot to unliscence the game, then you'll need to contact Via Tech to get the liscence back. It would likely be smartest to simply just do a reinstall of the game, liscence, and only copy your old league files back over from the CD. (Make sure the CD didn't make the files read-only.) |

if possible, you may want to copy the whole old hard drive to the new drive (with use of an imaging program, like Norton Ghost.) thgat way you'll have all the files you had before, including the same font preferences you had set for your browser.
