Same Starters Being Used in Playoffs

This is a followup to the thread in the OOTP4 General Discussions Forum.

I just simmed the third games in my playoffs, and there is a definite problem... and it's a big one.

Look at how the starters went (Game 1, Game 2, Game 3):

Team 1: Adams, Overall, Hendrix
Team 2: Joss, Joss* , Joss*

Team 3: Driscoll, Moore, Doak
Team 4: Bell, Wiltse, Ehmke

Team 5: Henry, Henry*, Henry*
Team 6: Ward, Ward*, Ward*

Team 7: Nehf, Burns, Wood
Team 8: Johnson, Johnson*, Johnson*

*Repeat Starter

This is an online league, and all of the teams are human controlled.

OK, I made a backup after the first games. I loaded this backup and took a look at the rotations of all the teams. Those teams that had repeat starters, were stuck on starting slot #1, for all the rest of the teams, the game had advanced to the #2 slot.

I went in and set all the teams to the #2 starting slot, and simmed the games for day 2. Simmed the off-day, and then checked the starting slots. All 8 teams were set on the #3 slot. I simmed the games for day 3, then again checked the rotations. They were all set for #4. I repeated this thru the end of the playoffs, and the starting slots advanced like they should.

Still have no idea how/why this happened.

Its on the known issues list. Not sure what causes it either.

No, he does not comment on each issue. It is on our "issues" list.

So Steve could you explain the process from reporting an issue to getting it fixed...does it boil down to "what Markus wants to fix he does" for do all you guys talk about it?

It really is not an issue of "wanting" to fix something but "is it possible to fix".....either:

-in a "patch or update"?
-in a future version?

Really depends on the code, problem and how the two relate to each other...which only he knows.

In addition, either a tester, myself or Markus must be able to verify a problem(reproduce it) or it cannot be addressed.(which goes without saying, but should be stated.)
