Impossible to Download Game

Hi,

Can anyone explain to me or assist me in finding a way to download this game? Every time I try to download it, the download stops short. I've read people's suggestions about getting Gozilla, etc to help in this. That's ludicrous. You're telling me that I have to fork over more $ just to get a program to successfully download another one?

How did I download dozens of other programs over the last four years without the aid of one of these download helpers, but now I need one?

Perhaps it's naive to suggest that the download file is disturbed and should be fixed?

I attempted to download the 1.44 mb sized files too to see if that would help. Wrong -- corrupted files each time. I've tried that way 3 different times; I've attempted to download the "big" file at least a dozen times. It gets as far as 13 mb then stops. When you try to install it, an error comes up.

I realize the game is cheap and may even be enjoyable (if I can ever play it!) but this is silly.

Any assistance?

If you are an AOL user then use the IE browser, not the AOL one (there is a known error in their browser when DLing large files). Then look for the FTP download site at OOTP4.com (to avoid DNS errors possibly caused by your local or OOTP's German ISP), clear your Internet cache (Tools -->Internet Options --> Delete Files), and try the DL again using the IE browser. No reason you need any DL application - IMO they are usually only useful for dial-up folks that have ISP cut off issues. Good luck!

GoZilla is completely free by the way - I use it and it works great

Used to (several years ago) have adware though. I admit I have not tried it for 2 years though, maybe that has changed

There's only an advertising banner or two in the main GoZilla window. It's no big deal, no more than a typical webpage.

The game is definitely enjoyable. You will not regret it once you are able to download the file
