Game stopped opening

Version: 9.2.13
PC/MAC: PC
What were you doing? Attempted to open game
What happened? When trying to open game, get an error message that says "Invalid data!!!"

I have attempted to uninstall/reinstall, as well as system restore and neither seems to fix the problem.

When you attempt to run the game, are you using a shortcut or directly clicking on the ootp9.exe file? If the former, please try the latter.

I tried opening the .exe file through both the start folders and from the program file. Both attempts gave the same error as before.

Did the game ever work for you, or is this the first time that you are trying to get it to run?

Which operating system are you using, how much RAM does your computer have, and how much free hard drive space does your computer have?

The game worked for about 3 weeks before it stopped working.

I have 2 GB of RAM. On the C disk drive, there is 70 GB with 35 GB available.

When you uninstalled, did you go in and manually delete all of your OOTP files except things like saved games? There might have been something left behind that is causing trouble.

I uninstalled via the add/remove programs. I also tried again by doing this method plus delete all folders and saved files. Same result.
