OOTP 6 Help Please

Hello. When I download OOTP6, it seems to install successfully, but when It's done, and I click the logo to open the game, it won't open.

What could this be?

I have the same problem.

I uninstalled OOTP 6, rebooted, reinstalled, same problem.

I have already purchased the game, but now I can't open it

CreateSurface: Backbuffer NODIRECTDRAWHW

InitApp Error InitDirectDraw

Well, I just got a new laptop with Windows Vista, and am having the same issue. I downloaded and installed but it wouldn't open.

I found on here that if you right-click, and select 'run as administrator' the first time it will then open. So, that worked for me... HOWEVER, after it starts trying to run I always get an error message saying that it cannot get a license at this time and to please try again later.

It's really starting to tick me off.

OOTP 6.5 worked just fine, and I could get to the screen where I could enter in my order #, but I can't play it because it still can't detect my OOTP 6 license.

BLAH.
