Injured, Healthy, Injured?!

In an online league, I acquired a player at the beginning of the next season.. This player was injured mid-way through the previous year with the "Out for Season" length. However, he's healthy now, so I pick him up.. As soon as the first day of the FA period is complete. he's suddenly injured again, with the same ailment that ended his season the previous year. He's got another 10 weeks left.

Is this a burp in the game during the offseason?

Sorry if this has been asked and answered in the past, but I couldn't find anything in search..

I believe that this problem was corrected in one of the update/patches what version of the game are you or your league using?

I'm running the patch 4.2a.. I'm not sure about the commish, but I believe he's also running the latest.

Some Season Long injuries have been known to wrap around in the past. I always thought this was intended. (I didn't realize it was ever patched) I guess that shows what I know.

However I hadn't seen this occur where a player showed up as healthy during the offseason, at the very least the player showing up as healthy during the offseason shouldn't happen if he's really still suffering the effects of the old injury.

I have seen this a few times - the player is still injured from the previous season, the game error is in the fact he will show up healthly during a portion of the offseason. It may even happen to all the "carry over" season ending injuries, not that easy to check since there are not that many of them. I guess while this is part of the game it is buyer beware - check out the players injury history and hold off on trading for him until at least Spring Training. At that time the team doctors will have a better idea of his return date
