Unique Problem - Help Please!

I am a commissioner of a large online league (88 Teams). When uploading the file this evening, I went to create files. The files seemed to create fine (around 20k or so files - although I am pretty sure there should be more). Anyway, I went to archive files and it said "Error! Could not create Archive XXX.lg.tar.gz.

I have never gotten this notification EVER, before. I checked out the local location where it was to be sent. It checked out. I checked my settings and from everything I can see, this is completely random. I am loading the file onto the site the old fashioned way this evening, but would LOVE any help anyone could give me.

It has been a long night and this is frustrating!! Like I said, I have never, ever run into this before. Anyone have any advice?
