Lahman in OOTP5

I am using OOTP5 and am wondering how you get the Lahman database to work inside it. I want to run a historical league and it keeps telling me it can't open the file or it is an older version when I direct it toward the folder with the Lahman DB in it.

I believe that OOTP5 is designed to work with a specific version of the Lahman Database, so if you are using the most current version of the Database there could be a problem. I remember something about there being changes (I think that a new column was added) to the Database a few years ago. It was possible to get the newer version to work with OOTP5, but you would need to figure out what has changed and if possible delete or correct the changes. To do this you would need to compare the Database that OOTP5 was designed for with the current version.

If you are using the correct version of the Database, you might want to make sure that it is saved in the right location and to make sure that it is not a compressed file.

I don't know if they are still available, but there were some databases created by people around here that cleaned up the Lahman Databases. If you can find any of these, I would recommend using them.

I hope that this helps and good luck.
