Cool quit unexpectedly

I just downloaded the free version of ootp 8/2007.........every time i set up a standard game , when i complete the 5 steps, and press "start game" .........i get an error message on my imac saying.........it "quit unexpectedly"........i dont believe its my memory because i have plenty.......it happend to me about 5 straight times..........any ideas?

I found the answer in another post........this works so far.........Actually, think I figured it out. Move the Free thing to your applications, especially if using a Mac. That SHOULD fix it.

Same problem

I did that. I moved the entire program to my applications folder and it still quits unexpectedly. Please help.

My freebie OOTP8 isn't clonking out quite as often (only a few times), but when it does, I find that my players have lost a day of rest. (Pitchers who pitched yesterday are now listed as having pitched today, and so on, with resultant fatigue issues.)

Is there any way to manually edit the rest status without moving forward on the calendar? (I'm using the Mac version, btw.) I'm playing as the Nationals, and frankly those guys have enough problems without the pitching staff having their arms fall off. Thanks in advance.
