Screen Resolution problem on netbook

I bought a netbook so I can move my personal stuff (like OOTP) off my work computer, but it won't complete the install of OOTP 8 Free because it says the screen resolution isn't large enough. Problem is, I can only go between 1024x600 and 800x600 on my netbook. Is it possible to override this issue during the installation?

OOTP 8 might not support netbook resolutions. I think that is a more recent accomodation.

But maybe someone that actually owns a netbook could confirm or refute this mostly baseless claim.

I don't have a netbook, but could you try hooking up an external monitor that would allow you to install it but then never use the monitor? Just a thought, no promises it will work or fix anything

Ooh, good thought. I wonder if that means it won't run when I try it off-monitor, but I'll try that tomorrow. Thanks for the idea.

Yeah, even OOTPX won't recognize a 2nd monitor for resolution purposes.
