OOTP 6 crashes when anything is selected on main screen.

Following issue appears in event viewer

The description for Event ID 0 from source LicCtrlService cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

LicCtrlService error: 1063
StartServiceCtrlDispatcher failed.

Vista is the OS. Tried running in XP compatibility mode with no dice.

The thing is, the license control service is visible in services, and is started. Have 6 and 11 installed.

It looks like that day has finally come.
