league ftp export/import question

a question...

in our league we have a commish then four others who take turns simming. we are on the ootp server, with a commish-community email to handle all the zip exports... then they pass along the league zip to me to upload the web files..

many of our owners want to use the ftp export option. so my question is...can that option be set up for the unique situation like ours..would all the simmers and myself have to have the same online league ftp set up..how would the "local starting dir" be adjusted?

could this be done?

thanks
luke

It certainly can be done, but you guys will have to agree on a default local directory or manually rename that path everytime it is your turn to generate the ootp html. Use a simple default path to a default directory like C:\html or C:\ootphtml.

Yup. If all the settings on the ONLINE LEAGUE OPTIONS screen stay the same then several of you can take turns being commish, running a sim, importing the ftp'ed lineups, and outputting the OOTP html pages. The settings I refer to are the ftp address, username, password, local starting directory, and the html page destination folder.

In the same vein, couldn't any member of the league with a current league file hit "Import All Rosters" and have all of them imported to the league file on their computer? It's a two-way street, right? I mean, if you can export, can't you also import?

I believe you need to have the commish password to import lineups.
