Full-Screen Toggle Option

When I turn full-screen off, so I can run other programs in the backround, all of the text turns sloppy, and I can't read most of it. I tried turning the DirectX thing on and off, but that didn't work. Any clue how I can make it run cleanly without full-screen mode? It works fine in that. I have a brand new Dell that I got in November.

I think i remember someone saying that you could change you screen area. Dont remember to what though

This is not the area of tech support I know well since I have never been able to duplicate any video issues with the game (a good and a bad thing), but if I were you I would:
1. Make sure you toggle direct 3D mode - I always have direct 3D mode disabled FWIW.
2. Adjust your screen size (a common one is 1024X768), then open the game in windowed mode to see if that fixes the problem.
3. If no check the colors options in case you have a wacky setting there like 256 color (hey, who knows), then do the same thing with your screen font size - if you use a unique font size I'd change that setting & then try the game again. Trial & error but you have to close the game each time you adjust something. When I do testing I create a "testleague.lg" league with 2 teams of 10 players each and use that to save lots of time when opening up the game frequently.
5. Download & install Direct X, even if your PC is new. Search for new monitor & video card drivers. Even new PC's come without latest drivers sometimes, definately something you have to check 1st anyway. Install any new drivers if the are available. If at this stage the game is still not working in windowed mode then you have to cover all the bases thoroughly, that's why this is the last suggestion I have. Try the game again after this of course. maybe go through the video adjustments again if you installed new drivers.

Your screen res is probably 800x600. switch to 1024x768 and it will run smoothly.
