Reset League issue
Steve -
I like to simulate about 15 days worth of games for my online league as a Spring Training. We reset the league via the League Setup option after the last game to get ready for opening day, as that's when reset league sets it to. I had signed a player to a contract extension during the period after the free agent signing and amateur draft, but now he's back on the list of players who's contracts expire at the end of the season. Is this supposed to happen with Reset League? He resigned prior to April 1st, so I would expect him to still be signed. Thanks |

Although I have not tried this I would imagine that this is correct that you need to resign him. The function is designed to place the league back to the point that it was before the season began.

Thanks for the reply.
I guess I'm just a bit concerned in that it's not consistant. The league reset to April 1, opening day, but these players resigned on March 2nd. The game loses all history for that whole season as well - all of the files get reset to 0 bytes, so everything that happened in the offseason is lost. I would think that opening day is the right time for this, but perhaps an option to have it reset to Opening Day, a specific date, or the first day of that season (off-season, so you could re-draft, etc.). I think that this might be tough, as it looks as though a lot of the info is only maintained in the text files and would be difficult to save, I would guess, if that's the way it's done, but just a thought. I used Pierre's editor to reset the contract extensions, but was just curious if this was a known bug/issue and/or if it was changing in OOTP5. Thanks! |
