blank screen/sys freeze when launching game

I finally was able to license ootp

when I attempt to launch program i get a blank screen and my system freezes causing me to have to power off my system.

I need as much info about your system as you can give, RAM, OS, free HD space, version of Direct X you are running?

I have

acerpower

windows 98

128 MB RAM

free Hd space is 17021 MB of 19522 MB

direct x 8.1

Try d/l direct X 8.1b or higher, also what screen res were you trying to run it in? It is made to run in 1024x768.

my screen res is set at 1024X768

I am downloading directX 9.0, I have a modem connection
so it will take me a few hours......after I install it I will attempt
to launch program and post my results in this thread
