OOTP4.exe has encountered a problem

Hey there, I was simming a couple of days in my custom league and the game all of a sudden went kaput on me. It froze and I had to ctr-alt-del it, which I've never had to do. So when I go and load the game up again, it gives me a "OOTP4.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. I was not editing any files or anything and didn't have anything running. I even tried to move the league folder to see if it was the problem, but when I load it's the same thing. I hope that this is a fixable problem cause I hate the idea of starting my league over again - all that hard work

Anyways, any sort of help is appreciated, thanks.

Why don't you just copy your league file(s) to a different folder, and then reinstall, and copy it back? Or even don't bother removing the original installation, and just install to a different folder. I've had a few strange problems with STB2K3, and sometimes reinstalling was the only option.

Thanks for the suggestion, I tried it out, and it worked! At first. I then tried to load my custom league and the same thing happened. I guess that the league is corrupted or screwed up or something. Is there any way I can recover or repair it? Any ideas are much appreciated.

I would not think so unless you have a backup.
