OOTP2.2 and Lahman?

I'm an old baseball sim maniac getting back interested in the whole culture of historical replay. This week I downloaded OOTP 2.2 from the Underdogs site to give it a whirl before I commit wholehog to the newer versions of OOTP. Unfortunately, whever I try to import years from the Lahman database (version 3.0 downloaded from baseball1.com) the game crashes on me. It calls up an invalid page fault in OOTP2WIN.exe and says the fault is in module KERNEL32.DLL.

Any ideas? Last night I downloaded and added DirectX 9.0, so I know it's not that. I'm trying to run the game on an old laptop (Pentium 166, 32MB Ram) so maybe that's the problem. Is just that the system I'm trying to play the game on can't support what I'm trying to do?

Hope that's not the case, as I'm dying to replay Alan Trammell's whole career in historical mode.

You need to make sure that you are using the generic (.csv) version of the Lahman database.

I was definitely using the generic (.csv) version of Lahman 3.0. It's the only version of 3.0 available for download on the baseball1.com site.

Any other ideas?
