Game crash after postseason

After completing the series...and clicking continue to next season, the game saves and goes to generate rookies. During this process, the game crashes and I get this fault error:

I tried it with a different league and the same results. It appears the only things I've done in the last two days when this started occuring was to download the Cato and Commish Joe tools (which I've deleted but that's another thread). I had tried to export a season to the Cato reference once but that didn't work. I'm guessing that the Cato tool corrupted my entire game. This is a problem because I have online league files also that I can't afford to lose.

Any suggestions?

Is the "create" folder still inside of the OOTP4 directory?

Boy, I really don't know since I have not personally used the third party utilities, maybe someone who has can lend a hand. No other crashes prior to this?

no crashes prior to this....but haven't solo gamed in a while; just league files. But no problems with my league or any others.

(edited) By the way, I had someone take my file and run it thru seasons end and try and "flip it". For them it worked fine. This is looking more and more like a corruption problem.

(edit II) Did a full uninstall and reinstall. First season back worked fine. Looks like something I did with the Cato History file corrupted the game.

Have you edited any OOTP league files recently or copyed a league file or files from a backup CD? Have your changed any directory locations within the game? Have you had any system issues of late, like unusual crashes in other apps? It sounds like a reinstall will get you back up and working but it would be nice to know what caused this.

The Cato OOTP History utility cannot corrupt your league, as it just reads league files - it does not write to any of them. I would assume you would not be able to play the game while the Cato utility is running though, and in fact I would assume that you could not even have the league open while the Cato utilty is running (that would probably apply to any OOTP add-on utility that reads the game files). This would likely cause the game to crash since there would be a conflict of 2 programs trying to access the same files. Any game crash can cause a league to become corrupt, so after a CD backup copy that would be my second guess as to what caused this.

Yeah, had to do a full reinstall. When messing with the History exporter; I got all kind of errors on it. Turns out I didn't have all the folders created. That's where my problems seem to have started. The only other things I have going on in my OOTP file are league files for online leagues. Appears the only leagues affected were the Career.lg default folder and another solo league I was playing (which incidently was the file I was trying to use with the History exporter).
