OOTP 5: Random Crashes

I've been *trying* to play for about a 1/2 hour now. I started a "standard league", but have been unable to get through the fantasy draft. Clicking on buttons often causes the game to crash.

Windows 2000 Professional
352 MB RAM
PIII 450 MHz
GeForce4 Ti 4200

No other programs running, 3d and sound turned off in "Game Configuration", and I have never had any trouble with OOTP4 or TDCB. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
