Import question for OOTP5

Does the game have a problem importing pre-1900 players? I'm trying to import from Lahman 5.0 to OOTP5, and it looks in the database, finds the player's name (ex: it will say "Ross Barnes"), but no player gets added to the FA pool. (By the way, I'm trying to individually import 1871 players to the FA pool.)

I tried the same thing with 20th century players and it worked fine.

Oops. Seems to only fail to import 1871.
