Any help?- OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY?

When I try to load the game for the first time, I get this window:

CreateSurface: Backbuffer
OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY

I click ok, then I get this:

ErrorInitDirectDraw

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

thanks,
jkamnik

What version of Direct X do you have? It sounds like a Direct X argument.

Have you tried changing the 3d setting in the "graphics setup" in the OOTP5 folder?

Re: OUTOFVIDEOMEMORY?

As the previous post states, you can edit Graphics.INI file to fix your problem. Open the Graphics.INI file in the OOTP5 folder. Change the text where it says

"Uses D3D, Yes" to
"Uses D3D, No"

I think this happens because like me, you have an old monitor with video drivers that don't completely work with directX 9.0.

After this is done, if the GUI is a little unreadable, adjust your display resolution.
