Can you re-name an OOTP5 League?

My converted OOTP4 league is called -- "Western Baseball Assoc". The length of this name causes it to bleed over into the date displayed in OOTP5. I'd like to re-name it to "WBL". Is this possible? I tried to edit the "league.dat" file but it crashes the program. Please let me know. Thanks.

go into the oot5 dir... find you league folder.. should be yourleaguesname.lg

then just rename it

that worked for ootp4... do a backup before you try incase it doesnt work
