Fantasy draft and salary options not there for historical league

I checked the standard league that comes with the game in 2003, it had all the options under Financial and Draft options.

I created a historical league starting in 1960, with manager mode and imported the players, I could not change these settings in basic,

career or replay
financial system
coaches/scouts system

I would click on them, they would think for a second and stay the same

In advanced setup under Financial and Draft options I only had the amateur draft buttons, only 2, nothing else. When I moused over the amateur draft held button it said at the bottom reset, release and start a fantasy draft. But the button just changed from preseason to june 1st. I have uninstalled completely and reinstalled. All options work with the career 2003.lg that is standard. Not sure what to do cause I want to do a fantasy draft.

running win 98, 3d toggled off, direct x 9, ati rage card.

I have installed the game on my laptop as well, P4, IBM, same settings. Same thing happens when creating a historical league. Not sure if I am possibly doing someting wrong though.

with some further testing it seems if you select yes to using manager mode in league creation then you don't get those options. I guess you have to release first then draft then start a manager career cause I have not figured out how to do it otherwise.

Ok, ANY editting or changing that you wish to do MUST be done prior to setting the game in "manager mode", once it is there editors are of no use.

Thanks Steve, I read the manual but couldn't find the info, probably missed it. I have never played manager mode but am looking forward to it now.
