Player Picture Problem

I think I found a small bug.
I imported an OOTP4 league into OOTP5. Everything went fine including logos, ballparks and player pictures.

The problem is when I try to attach a picture to a new player. I go to the directory where all the other picture files are and appropriately change the name to let's say p1258.

On the Player profile screen the picture is not shown but the message reads: "File not found p1258.bmp".

Interestingly the proper picture is found in the player HTML Report.

Any ideas?

I fixed the problem. OOTP5 is on a Dell Notebook computer. Apparently "Dell Expert Image" translated all of my unattached pictures to a jpeg format. The pictures that were in OOTP4 remained in bmp format and were untouched for some reason unknown to me.

If I change the format back to bmp (like it was supposed to be all along - Thanks Dell!) then everything works great. All the new rookies now have pictures.

Lesson learned - make sure your computer isn't doing something in the background that is unexpected!
