Sound not working

I'm getting no sound at all. I double-checked to make sure I had sound enabled, and I did. Any help?

Updated your sound drivers lately? Honestly, I would give you my "in-game" sounds if I could, can't stand them(in any game not just this one).

Thanks for responding so quickly, Steve.

I tried to update my sound drivers through Control Panel and it said that it couldn't find more recent drivers than what I had.

Any other suggestions?

I don't know, I wonder if somethingelse is occupying the sound?

Do you have your speakers plugged in?

I just saw another post about DirectX 9.0 and that was the trouble. I just upgraded and it works fine now.

Anf YES, my speakers were plugged in, HR!
