Right side of screen text is blank

The right 1/4 or 1/3 of the screen displays no text in OOTP5. On the league standings page, the NL leaders board is blank. This problem occurs on all pages I have looked at so far. The rest of the screen is always fine, it is only the right side. Is this a bug that will be fixed in the first patch, or do I need to change some settings

If you have not started the league then that is the way it is supposed to look. Once play starts then league leaders will be displayed there.

Sorry, maybe I didn't explain enough... the problem persists on other screens - i.e. depth charts, lineups and such. Only the left 2/3 show up. For example, on the depth chart screen, the position buttons along the bottom...only the catcher, 1B and 2B buttons have those words in them. The other button outlines are there, but with out the words 3B and SS. This is the same on many other screens.

Thank you for the quick reply and any other suggestions you may have.

Make sure that Direct X 9 is installed (http://www.microsoft.com) and also update your video drivers to their latest versions, can be d/l from the manf. site.

Then give it a try, if it is still not right go to the ootp5 directory and open the graphics config file and toggle the 3d setting and try again.

One of those two things should get you going.

Thanks Steve..... I did download directx 9, but I believe the fix was changing my display settings. They were set at 800x600 and I changed them to 1028x768 or whatever it is. That seemed to be what the problem originally was.

Thanks for the advice!

Quick question if you check up on this thread again..... Didn't OOTP4 automatically switch between the two display settings when you opened and closed the game? And if so, why doesn't version 5? Just wondering.

Thanks again!

No, many programs don't do that.
