I guess the one that gets me is on the schedule screen when it gets close to the "TRADING DEADLINE" the screen show deadline trading... It should be "TRADING DEADLINE" or a more descriptive message such as " deadline for trading"

I found a spelling error on a printout of a player's card in Skydog's preview of OOTP6. I posted it in his preview thread but it was suggested that I add it here as well. Without further ado, I present the resurrection of the typo thread, new and improved for OOTP6:

Don't know if this has been reported yet, but when you bring the pitchers list during a game (or the pitching staff between games) and select category "Pitching ratings", you see St vs L, Co vs L, St vs R, Co vs L. I guess the last one should be Co vs R, huh?

In the first week of my first season in OOTP6 a pitcher had a career-ending injury and was "rushed to an hospital", according to the report in the news section.
I went to The University of Chicago Manual of Style for a ruling: Rule 6.34 clearly states that this is idiomatically incorrect. Last edited by dow : 04-16-2004 at 08:32 PM. |

Under Game setup/Engine setup/Player Evaluation Setup it says, "If a player has no stats of the specific year, or limited playing time, they weight will be automatically adjusted.
"they" should be "the" ![]()

In the ratings screen for batters it uses Vs. LHP, and Vs. RHP, for the pitchers it uses the same thing...I believe is should be Vs. LHB and Vs. RHB for pitcher ratings.....unless it was intended to be Left and Right handed Players.....

I agree with you. That sentence was wrong, but players seldom speak using proper grammar. I'd enjoy seeing Milton Bradley respond to my offers with any of the following: "I'm feelin' that 4 mill..." "You gotta come with more dollars before you ink this star..." "Go talk to Jerry Maguire, he's handling my cash game now." |

I agree, Ozzie. Much like TDCB recruiting. Those get a little old after a while but still spice things up.

When generating an html report in OOTP6, the index.html page title is "OOTP 5 Generated Website". Clearly from the content it is not, but when scanning the toolbar at the bottom of XP, I've been confused.

I've seen "nickle curve" in the PBP a few times so far. First off, it should be "knuckle curve" instead. Secondly, I've never seen a pitcher have that pitch, but that part I'm not really that concerned over as much as the nickle/knuckle part. =)

IN the NEWS section after the season is complete.
When a player wins either the Pitcher of the Year or Batter of the Year award, the last sentence of the line will read "Williams wins the award for the 2nd time in his 7 year career" ....well the sentence is correct but Williams has been in the league for 8 years. The game is taking his years and subtracting, ie. he starts in 1905 and it's 1912...well 1912-1905 is 7, but it should be inclusive, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11, and 12 is 8 years not 7. Not a big problem until some one wins the award every year for lets say 5 years, including their rookie season, because then it would state he won the award for the 5th time in his 4 year career, which just can't happen ![]() |
