Lost Career Histories

I recently restored a backed-up league and, upon doing so, lost all players' career histories. Where are they? What can I do? I do have a slightly older back-up intact. Could anyone ID the file I might copy over to my existing league to get the histories back? And if so, are you sure it will not write over any game play I've done since restoring the back-up?

And oh yeah, the Yearly Almanacs are gone, too.

The backup feature does not save a copy of the thousands of files that are the player histories and almanac files. A way to back-up all of these files is to simply zip up the league folder you are using, it will be a bigger file then the regular backup file, but you won't lose all the histories.

You can safely copy all the p###.txt files from the news.../players directory and the almanac files. As long as you don't overwrite a .dat file you won't lose the stats... however you would lose any player history entries since restoring the backup.

Not certain, but sounds like you are not seeing your almanacs from when the league was in OOTP5. You must manually copy the .alm folders from the V5 almanac folder in the .lg folder to the V6 almanac folder in that new .lg folder.
