Editing text colors

How can I edit the text colors or the background color? When I play, the background screen that came with the game has a lot of white in it and the text of the menus and pull downs is white. This makes it hard on my eyes after a while to see the characters.

Go into the OOTP5 folder and open the "game config" file, toggle the 3d setting, close those things and try the game again.
