Post passed ball crash

It has crashed twice now when the game ends with a passed ball or wild pitch resulting in a run that ends the game. It has been very stable otherwise on my system. I have not seen any of the other crashes that are talked about on the board.

My computer is a 533 Mhz Celeron. 128 MB. Windows 98SE, 4+ GB hard drive space. patch 4.0a installed.

I can't believe this one is in OOTP4--especially since OOTP3 and it's STB twin both had the same problem, even after the third crash.

Didn't anyone QA this game? No excuse for this kind of error making it through, I think, especially since it was a problem in the last version.

1,000's of hours were spent on it but I guess no one had that happen in a game. I personally have played over 4 or 5 season's playing out 90% of the games and NEVER had it happen.

bplotkin,

I take your comment to heart since I spent ALOT of hours testing this game. Not EVERY bug can be found, but let me ASSURE you that MANY guys worked their asses off testing this game. If you'd like, I'll send you 29.90 back personally if you'll close your mouth.]

I'm sure you could have done a much better job than any of the ones who actually tested this game, but that opportunity didnt lend itself to you. Markus COULD have just had you test the game alone and then I'm sure ALL the bugs would have been squashed!

Ask anybody on this board whether they think this game was tested thoroughly and I'll be 99% will say "yes". Can you HONESTLY say that this game isnt the best baseball sim you've ever seen and that its 99% stable? I think not.

This game was tested by a GREAT group of guys and they ALL worked hard on this game and for you to say "didnt anyone test this game" infuriates me.

I´ve just had this bug as well playing version 4.0b, runners on 1st and 3rd no outs bottom of the 11th, wild pitch and the game crashed. I´m running it on a 300MHZ Celeron, 64MB Ram, 5.0 Gigs free space on disk, and it was the first time it crashed, though I´ve played well over 100 games now. I just believe it is something that should be considered for the next patch.

I've experienced the same crash, on a game-ending passed ball.

Overall, though, I'd say the testers did a very good job and there aren't many bugs at all.
