Ok what I want to do is start a sim in 1901 with out the players haveing any past sats(that way I can see how players will do just in the game).
This Is where the problem begins....Heres what I did 1. created 1901 historic league 2. clicked erase career stats(or whatever its called on the league setup screen) Now heres my problem It deletes the team the players are currently on for the season...and I havent found a way to get the players career stats to show the team there on for the year....the next season it corrects It self. Now I tried releaseing the players and resigning them to the correct teams but then there player historys show they were released. Brad |

You're not going to like this...
I believe the player histories are .txt files. In which case, you can edit those .txt files for the released players. This is more hassle than I would go through. You're talking, what, 350 players?

spleen I was kinda expecting that answer(the editing that is)....and 350 is about right.
But I suppose If I didnt mind releaseing the players one team at a time so that I could resign them to the correct teams agian....I shouldnt mind this also. heres hopeing the new patch comeing tonight fixes this.....Maybe its just me or I'm missing something...But this sure seems like a feature that wasnt tested. Try to test this for me and if it works you should be pleased with the results. Take one player, memorize or record their ingame player number (can be gotten from the player image text), release this player then resign the player. Look at the player history .txt file it should note the release and the signing.
Now go into the news folder. Delete that players playerhistory.txt file. Go back to OOTP4, try and open the player history .txt file, it should be blank. Now check the news folder... look for that players playerhistory.txt file. If its there and blank, then you've found out how to erase all the player histories. If this works then you can go ahead and just delete each players, player history.txt file and the game should recreate the file and it would be blank, without mention of the release... Be careful and definitely test to make sure that it works, first, you certainly don't want the game to crash when trying to write something to that text file. Hope this works for you. |
