Somebody please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This error has happened to me 4 or 5 times now.....but this time it has really killed me!
After the season ends, I hit proceed to next season and I get the error message: OOTP4 has caused general error...OOTP4 will now close... It crashes to desktop and I have to restart but when I do the game's date is 1/25 and is stuck. No free agent signings, no nothing. I WAS in the 2006 season but now I have no choice but to restart from scratch. Talk about frustration! Can anyone help or has anyone seen this problem? I have spent endless hours at the f*&^$&#* keyboard addicted to this game but I dont know what to do from here...Can anybody save me from suicide? running ootp4b with both patches(windows ME) and a shattered monitor

You NEED to give us more detail about your PC. RAM amount, free HD space, other programs running at the time, also what type of league and or rosters are you using?

Sorry....
P4 1.5Ghz 256 ram 70 MEGS HD Using most current update with both patches and Rolens rosters installed. It seems to happen at the end of the season mostly but sometimes it just happens whenever you click on something.

If you only have 70 megs of free HD space this is the problem, you need to clear out a fair amount of space. I would say a minimum of 500-700 meg.

I believe that some folks have had a problem with that roster set, though not sure as I have not used them. You might look around for a more updated version of them and see if that help.

It happened to me before with the standard rosters also. I was just hoping you guys had seen this error before or someone had mentioned it because I am pretty much stuck. Thanks for your help I'll start reading some older posts to see if I can find anything

Antoher thing it did that I found was pretty interesting was that it never reset the season totals.. Like for example I simmed a whole season just to see what would happen and if I could start over the next year but all of the totals from the year before are being calculated with the current year.....Jim Thome has 101 home runs in August and Bagwell has 255 RBI's. Maybe I should have reset league totals??? I dont know
