Free agent signing crash

I'm running OOTP 4.0b and after the season, during free agent signings, I make offers but as soon as I click on Finish Day, the game crashes and I'm back at the desktop. I tried resetting the league and I got through the whole season, but the same thing happened as soon as I got to the same point. It's a leauge I created, but it's using the default players... I didn't download anything to add on to it. I have a 1.8Ghz, 512MB RAM, and 60GB of hard drive space... so I don't think that's the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Did you add expansion teams?

Yes, unless you follow <a href="http://www.ootpbb.com/board/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=5&t=000008" target="_blank">this you will </a>have problems.

I didn't expand after I started; I started with 40 teams. I guess I kind of misunderstood you. Anyway, I checked, and all teams have more than enough players, and the schedule is fine. I tried generating a new one, just to be sure, and it didn't helped. So I'm still stumped...

What exact steps are you doing to get this crash? Need more information so we can recreate and diagnose the problem.

After the season ends, I continue to the next season. I go through hiring coaches, and that works fine. I get to free agent signings, and I make offers on the first day. I click Finish Day, I click "Yes" that all human teams have made offers, and then I'm back at the desktop.
