Question Trading Deadline *Crash* OOTP 4 -- Please Help

Please help. I cannot continue in my season until this is resolved:

Problem: on 07/28/2000 the game does not progress past the "Trading Deadline" screen during the schedule simulation phase in OOTP 4

Details
+imported a ootp 3league after one game in the season
+tried with player on trading block and off trading block
+tried with message system active and inactive
+<space> does not stop the simulation; neither does <alt><tab>; I cannot exit the program; I must reset the computer, but the mouse does not freeze, I can still move it
+Operating Windows Millenium on an Athlon 750mhz

Need to know anything else let me know.

Thanks.

How much RAM do you have, how long are you waiting before you say it doesn't progress or it locks up?

Question

Alright, since you asked about time I left my computer on at the trading screen and left it for forty minutes. When I came back it had finished processing. So it took about more than 10 minutes but less than 40 minutes.

I do not know if this my computer or the program. But I guess if I leave it on for long enough it will process.

If there is anyway to speed this up, it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Woz

Are you running other programs while doing this? If so, turn them off around this time during the season. Also, if you have virus software running in the background, I've heard that this can slow things down as well. Other than that, I don't know what speed your processor is at or if you wanna invest in additional RAM...any and all of these things can help to a degree. But you need to understand that during this period in the season that alot of things are going on within the game and that takes time and memory.
